Barony’s Contact Point services in Kirkcaldy and Buckhaven today received a glowing report from Fife Council.
The Contact Points provide a variety of activities for vulnerable people in the local area, with a café and drop in centre, art and music groups, five aside football and other community activities.
The following extracts come from the report:
“both of the Managers are committed to delivering the main aims and objectives of Contact Point… they are efficient, effective, very knowledgeable in their relevant field and have a very good relationship with the Service users…..I found everyone very welcoming….. For some of the service users the service stops them from feeling isolated and is beneficial to their mental health ….. These individuals expressed that it was by attending a Contact Point that stopped their mental health from deteriorating…I have no hesitation in supporting and recommending the continual funding of both Contact Points, as they are providing an excellent Service to many vulnerable individuals in the community.”
