Who Pays For Your Support?

If you have been referred to Barony by your social worker then it is likely that your council will pay Barony for your care and support. Some council's have a charging policy which means that the council may ask you to pay for some of your care and support costs if you have your own income or funds.

If you receive a Direct Payment from your council to pay for your care and support, then you could choose Barony as your support provider and you would pay us directly. Contact us if you are interested in discussing this.

Alternatively, if you receive a Direct payment and you want to emply your carer yourself, you may want to ask Barony to manage the PAYE and National Insurance paperwork, we are happy to do this for a small fee. Contact us if you are interested in discussing this.

If you do not qualify for council funding or a Direct Payment, you could still buy your care and support service from Barony using your own funds. Eligibility for Barony's services is dependent on your level of support need and is not means tested. As a private purchaser the rate you would pay for Barony's services would be no different than a council or Direct Payment funded person. Contact us if you are interested in discussing this.
