Investing in homes

Our ambitious five-year improvement plans are already well under way with tenants seeing the difference it makes to their homes.

Barony is investing £1.5 million on home improvements. The investment programme – the largest in Barony’s history – will see homes being made warmer, cheaper to heat and safer.

We’ll be replacing old electric heaters with modern gas central heating systems, meaning homes will be warmer and fuel bills will come down. Customers will get brand new kitchens and bathrooms, and there will also be new front doors and windows, and improvement works to common areas such as stairways, to help tenants feel safer and more secure.

By the end of the five-year programme, every Barony customer will have an energy-efficient affordable heating system, more than half will have a new bathroom and shower, and almost two thirds will have new kitchens.
